2) The most serious ecological problems nowadays are air and water pollution, global warming, deforestation, the destruction of wildlife, and the shortage of clean water and energy resources.

3) Scientists are so much concerned about global warming because it can lead to climate change, melting glaciers, rising sea levels, and more natural disasters.

8) Yes, this problem can be solved partly. We can use public transport, electric cars, bicycles, and cleaner fuels, and we can also improve engines and control emissions more strictly.

9) National governments develop national parks to protect nature, preserve rare plants and animals, and keep natural landscapes safe from destruction.

10) Yes, I think people of the world can solve ecological problems if they work together, follow environmental laws, and change their habits. Individuals can help by saving water and energy, recycling, planting trees, and not littering.

11) Natural disasters are events such as earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, volcanic eruptions, droughts, and tsunamis. They are dangerous because they can destroy homes, damage nature, and cause loss of life. People are not completely helpless: they can prepare for disasters, build safer houses, and follow warning systems.
