In both Britain and Russia, people usually greet each other politely, respect personal space, and follow table manners.
Some customs are different. In Britain, people often say “please” and “thank you” very often, queue patiently, and value punctuality. In Russia, guests are usually welcomed very warmly, and it is common to offer food and tea to visitors.
Other important Russian customs for visitors are taking off shoes when entering a home, bringing a small present for the host, and being polite to older people.
I would like to borrow some customs from other cultures, for example, the habit of being always punctual and the tradition of saying kind words more often.
