b) Listen to the interviews again and fill in columns 3–5 of the table.

c) Fill in the last line of the table. Whose opinion is closer to yours?

Name	Is fashion important to you? Why?	Why do you dress the way you do?	Is it important to you that the clothes match?	Is other people’s opinion about your clothes important to you?
Maria	Yes. Fashion helps us be different from everyone else.	Because it is comfortable.	Most of the time.	Not much.
Peter	Not very important. He does not think much about the latest fashion trends. He believes that clothes tell others who we are.	To express himself. He wants to look different and feel comfortable.	Usually yes, because matching clothes look nicer.	He does not care much. He feels comfortable in the clothes he likes.
Julia	Yes. Fashion is a statement of somebody’s individuality.	She likes being an individual.	Sometimes, if she is going somewhere special.	No, she does not care.
My opinion	Yes. Fashion helps me express my individuality.	I dress in a way that is comfortable and reflects my personality.	Usually yes, because matching clothes look better.	Other people’s opinions are not very important to me.

My opinion is closest to Julia’s. I also think that clothes are a way to express our individuality, and I do not care much about other people’s opinions.
