To take part in the vote you need to: 1 Nominate the person who deserves to become our representative. 2 Explain why his chance is stronger than the chance of the other candidate. Compare: a) the grades of the candidates in different subjects b) the number of contests they have taken part in c) their levels of proficiency in English d) their character, ability to get on well with other people, other related traits of character (you may include any other information if you wish).

Andrew Frankov Excellent marks in all subjects with the exception of Biology (4) and English (4). Exceptional results in History. Has taken part in three contests in History. Ambitious, sometimes can be a bit intolerant, not very sociable, very hardworking, enjoys challenging tasks.
Sergey Osokin Good marks mostly, but demonstrates exceptional results in English, History and Literature. Has taken part in one contest in History two contests in English. Sociable, good team player, not very ambitious and can be a bit lazy sometimes, enjoys working in team.

I nominate Andrew Frankov to represent our class in the Historical Contest in Egypt.

Andrew has better marks in most subjects than Sergey. He has excellent results in History, and his marks in all other subjects are also very good. Sergey has good marks too, but Andrew’s academic record is slightly stronger.

Andrew has also taken part in more contests in History than Sergey. He has participated in three contests, while Sergey has taken part in only one History contest and two English contests.

As for English, Sergey is more proficient, but Andrew is still a good student. Besides, Andrew is more hardworking and more ambitious. He may be a bit intolerant and not very sociable, but he is very responsible and enjoys challenging tasks. Sergey is sociable and a good team player, but he is less ambitious and can be a bit lazy sometimes.

So, taking everything into account, I think Andrew Frankov is the better candidate for this honour.
