Scientific achievements and technological progress make it obvious that robots will play an important role in our future. There’ll be different robots. Some of them will help people to do routine and monotonous jobs, some will carry out dangerous space or ocean missions, some will work wonders in medicine. Among them there’ll be a robot that deserves special attention.
My robot will be rather small and light. It will have a round head, bright eyes, long flexible arms and wheels instead of legs, so it can move quickly anywhere. Its body will be made of strong metal and covered with white and silver plastic.
This robot will be created to help people at home and at school. It will clean rooms, cook simple meals, carry heavy things, look after children and help pupils with their homework. It will also be able to translate foreign words and find any information on the Internet.
The most amazing thing about my robot is that it will understand human feelings. If somebody is sad, it will tell a joke or play cheerful music. It will always know how to cheer people up.
It’s just fun to imagine this robot now, but I believe that in a few years’ time it’ll become a very usual thing like a coffee machine or a portable computer. I hope we don’t have to wait for too long.
