The Ancient Egyptians

The Ancient Egyptians lived in northeastern Africa, along the Nile River. Their civilization began more than 5,000 years ago and lasted for thousands of years.

They were usually of medium height and had dark hair and brown skin. Men often wore short linen skirts, and women wore long dresses. Rich people wore jewelry and makeup.

Their lifestyle was closely connected with the Nile. They were farmers, builders, craftsmen, and traders. They grew wheat and barley, kept animals, and built temples and pyramids. Religion played an important role in their lives.

We can learn from the Ancient Egyptians that hard work, knowledge, and respect for culture can create a great civilization. Their achievements in architecture, writing, and science are still admired today.
