One ancient civilisation that I have studied is Ancient Egypt. It was one of the most developed civilisations of the ancient world and existed for thousands of years along the Nile River.

The Egyptians made great progress in many areas. They built huge pyramids and temples, which showed their advanced knowledge of mathematics and engineering. They also created a system of writing called hieroglyphics. Thanks to it, they could record important events, religious texts and everyday life.

Ancient Egyptians developed agriculture because the Nile flooded regularly and made the land fertile. They learned how to use irrigation and grow crops such as wheat and barley. Their society was well organised, with pharaohs, priests, craftsmen and farmers.

In my opinion, Ancient Egypt was a highly developed civilisation. Its achievements in architecture, writing, science and farming influenced later cultures and are still admired today.
