I agree with the statement that people should not be allowed to eat and drink on the streets or in public transport.

First of all, it is impolite to eat and drink in public places because other people may feel uncomfortable. In addition, food and drinks can make the street or a bus dirty. For example, people may drop wrappers, crumbs or spill drinks, and then someone has to clean it up. Another reason is that in public transport there is usually not enough space, so eating there can disturb other passengers.

On the other hand, some people may need to have a quick snack or a drink, especially if they are in a hurry. However, I think they can do it in special places, such as cafes, parks or at home.

To sum up, I believe that eating and drinking should be limited in the streets and public transport because it helps keep public places clean and comfortable for everyone.
