2. The founder of the prize is Kazuo Inamori. He is a successful businessman in ceramics and electronics.
3. By the time of the text, many people had been awarded the prize. They are scientists, philosophers and filmmakers.
4. Inamori explains that the prize should encourage balanced development of both our scientific and our spiritual sides.
