Student A: Do you know that we have to choose a subject for our elective course?

Student B: Yeah, I’ve heard something about it. Can we suggest whatever we like?

Student A: No, there’s a list we have to choose from. Here it is: Economics, Information Technologies, Basics of Accounting, American English, Basics of Law, Interior Design, Translating and Interpreting, English Contemporary Prose, Creative Writing. Does anything seem appealing?

Student B: Well, I think I could do Information Technologies. It seems interesting and useful for my future career. What do you think?

Student A: I don’t think I want to choose it. I’m not very good at computers, and it may be too difficult for me. You should choose something else.

Student B: Then you should choose Creative Writing. It can help you develop your imagination and improve your English.

Student A: I’d like to do Translating and Interpreting. I enjoy English, and this subject could be very useful for my future profession. Please, accept my choice.

Student B: I think that’s a good idea. It sounds interesting and practical.

Student A: Great! Let’s go to the Head of the school to find out more details about the course: how long it is, who is going to run it, and when it starts.

Student B: OK, let’s do that after lessons tomorrow at 3 p.m. in the school hall.
