I was new in a camp once, and at first I felt shy and lonely. I did not know anyone, so it was hard to start a conversation and join the others. The biggest problem was that I was afraid to make mistakes and look silly.

After a few days, I began to talk to the other children more often. We played games together, and that helped me fit in. In the end, I found a few good friends. What helped me most was being friendly, smiling, and not being afraid to ask questions.
