1. Read Lisa’s diary page for detail.

Lisa and Dima arrived at Camp Pineland and were split up at once. The camp took away their mobile phones, so they could not text each other. Lisa was taken to her cabin, called Cherokee. There she met her cabinmates: Mary, Cindy, Arabella, and Hailey. Mary explained that they had all known each other for a long time, but now they had to share the cabin with Lisa. Lisa told them that she was fifteen and had come all the way from Russia. The girls were friendly and joked with her about bears in Russian streets and at camp. Lisa also learned that the camp head counsellor, Mrs Nutt, would make a speech the next day. When Lisa found out she had no sleeping bag, Belle kindly gave her an extra one.
