My best friend and I fell out last year because of a misunderstanding. We had known each other for many years and usually got on very well. One day we were working on a school project together. I thought she should do more, while she believed I was trying to control everything. We both said unpleasant things and stopped talking to each other.

At first, I was angry and sure that I was right. But later I understood that I had been too strict and had not listened to her opinion. She, in turn, was hurt because she felt I did not trust her. After a few days, we met and talked honestly. We apologized to each other and made up.

In my opinion, both of us were to blame. I was wrong because I was bossy and did not respect her ideas. She was wrong because she reacted too emotionally and refused to explain her point of view at once. In the end, we learned to be more patient and to listen to each other.
