Commercial exploitation of animals includes using animals for profit in ways that may harm or control them, for example:

• keeping animals in circuses or zoos for entertainment;
• using animals in experiments to make money or develop products;
• breeding animals for fur, leather, or meat;
• using animals in advertising or shows;
• forcing animals to work, such as carrying loads or pulling carts.

These can be called commercial exploitation because animals are used mainly to earn money, not for their own benefit.
