Destination Landscape Wildlife Exploration/activities Namibia Expedition Programme (18—28 days)
You will set up base camp on the south side of the Ugab River Valley and on the northwestern side of the Brandberg Massif. Trek through the canyon lands, desert and mountainous area — you will be able to explore all of these types of landscape. You will get skills in coping with difficulties in a desert with the minimum of equipment, collecting food, testing for poison, food preparation, radio usage, bush camping, snakes/reptile and dangerous animal safety. The Brandberg has a lot of peaks and you will have vast opportunity to develop your climbing skills.
Iceland Explorer Programme (10 days)
Iceland is a truly unique destination. The country has some of the most exciting landscapes you will ever see with active volcanoes, lava fields, craters, powerful geysers, high mountains and thundering waterfalls. An excellent experience is to trek through the location of Europe’s largest volcanic eruption, swim in the Blue Lagoon and admire the fantastic Thingvellir National Park and the picturesque Gulfoss waterfalls. You can go out to sea on a trip to watch whales and dolphins. Groups must take a fitness programme in the UK, to be physically prepared for the trip.
South Africa Explorer Programme (14—21 days)
South Africa is known for its diversity of both landscapes and people. It has mountainous regions, desert, coastline and rare plants. The Drakensberg Mountains stretch for 200 miles and contain impressive peaks, waterfalls, forested valleys and nature reserves. The Ely de River Canyon provides another exciting trekking region where you can experience canoeing before visiting the world famous Kruger National Park. Expedition teams will enjoy African wildlife in its natural environment.
Amazon Expedition Programme (21 days)
The science research base camp is located on a lagoon in the jungle in the far northeast of Peru, not far from the borders with Brazil and Columbia. During your jungle trek you will see a range of primates, lizards, butterflies and birds. You will carry out survey work focused on parrots, dolphins, turtles, monkeys and alligators. Once you have reached San Martin, you will experience the daily way of life of the local people. You will have jungle training, so you know about machete use, fires and dangers in the jungle.

Namibia: The most interesting thing is trekking through the desert and climbing the peaks. The less interesting thing is collecting food and learning about dangers in the desert, because it sounds difficult and tiring.
Iceland: The most interesting things are the volcanoes, the Blue Lagoon and whale watching. The less interesting thing is the fitness programme in the UK, because it is only preparation, not the trip itself.
South Africa: The most interesting thing is visiting Kruger National Park and seeing African wildlife. The less interesting thing is the long trekking, because it may be exhausting.
Amazon: The most interesting things are the jungle trek and seeing unusual animals and birds. The less interesting thing is jungle training, because it is more about safety rules than adventure.

I would like to go on the Iceland Explorer Programme. I’m keen on beautiful landscapes, and Iceland has volcanoes, waterfalls and the Blue Lagoon. The main reason is that I love nature and I would enjoy watching whales and dolphins.
I wouldn’t like to go on the Namibia Expedition Programme. The main reason is that it sounds too difficult and dangerous for me. I’m not fond of desert conditions, and I can’t stand the idea of collecting food and dealing with snakes and dangerous animals.
