In my country, most rights also depend on age and are determined by the law. For example, children can go to school from the age of 6 or 7, they can get a passport at 14, and they can work only from 16. Driving is usually allowed from 18, and full legal responsibility begins at 18 too.

Compared with the UK, the age limits are quite similar. In both countries, people can work at 16 and become adults at 18. However, some rules may be different, for example the age for getting a passport, voting, or drinking alcohol.
