1) It’s awful to learn that many teenagers have drinking problems. I was shocked to read that many American children run away from home every day and that some of them do it because of family problems, misunderstanding, or bad treatment. I was also shocked to know that children die in America every day.

2) Young people may break the law by drinking, taking drugs, stealing, fighting, or vandalizing. It causes family problems, violence, aggressiveness, cruelty, drug addiction, and other social problems.

3) In these cases, the rights to protection, care, education, a safe family life, and respect for the child’s dignity are often ignored. According to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, every child has the right to be protected from violence and neglect, to live in a safe environment, and to be treated fairly.

4) In my country, mass media usually show teenagers as active, modern, and ambitious. At the same time, they often write about school problems, bad habits, conflicts with parents, and the influence of the Internet.

5) In my opinion, young people worry about their future, exams, relationships with parents and friends, money, and finding their place in life. Their main ambitions are to be independent, do well at school, earn money, express their individuality, and change the world for the better.
