1) I agree with some of the conclusions, but not with all of them.
- Although social workers help the elderly in different ways, they do not provide home help. Yes, I agree.
- Some pensioners are looked after at home. Some other pensioners are offered a place at a home for elderly people. Yes, I agree.
- Social services try to do their best to cheer the old people up, but they don’t have much success in doing it. No, I don’t agree. They do their best and often help old people feel better.
- When old people are put into homes for elderly people their pets get a place in the RSPCA hostels. Yes, I agree.
- At the homes for elderly people patients are provided with lots of entertainment. Yes, I agree.
- The Good Samaritans Group members go out into the community to help people, including patients of the homes for elderly people. Yes, I agree.
2) I can draw the conclusion that in Britain elderly people are cared for in different ways: they may stay at home, live in special homes, receive help from social workers and volunteers, and have their pets looked after too.
