You have to talk for 2 minutes. The teacher will listen to you until you have finished. Then she/he will ask you some questions.

Sample answer
I’d like to tell you about my native place. I live in a beautiful region with a lot of forests, rivers and green fields. The landscape is very picturesque, especially in summer and autumn. The climate is rather changeable, but I’m used to it.
The people here are friendly, hardworking and hospitable. They respect traditions and are always ready to help each other. One of the local customs is to celebrate family holidays together and spend a lot of time outdoors.
I like my native place because it is quiet, safe and comfortable to live in. There is fresh air, beautiful nature and not too much noise. I also like the fact that people here are kind and open-hearted.
As for the disadvantages, sometimes I dislike the weather in winter because it can be cold and snowy. But in general, I’m proud of my native place and I love living here.
Role-play sample
Student 1: I’d like to live in a big seaside city. It has a warm climate, beautiful beaches and a lot of entertainment. I think life there is exciting and full of opportunities.
Student 2: I agree that the climate is nice, but I don’t like crowded cities. I’d prefer a quiet place in the countryside. There is more fresh air, less noise and a slower pace of life.
Student 1: That’s true, but in a big city there are better jobs, more shops and more chances to meet interesting people. I also like the variety of food there.
Student 2: I see your point, but I think the countryside has its own advantages. The people are usually friendlier, the food is fresher, and everyday life is calmer and healthier.
