Whose lifestyle do you like most?
Some people call me a hacker. I like my computer and I can do many things with its help. I’ve designed a new game for my brother and I’ve made a programme for my teacher of English. Now we can use computers at our English lessons.

I’ve joined the organisation of Young Agrarians. I’d like to be with those people who think about nature, who help young people in the villages to get higher education and to get a good job.

I’m not in a group. I don’t care about organisations. I like to wear cool T-shirts and dreadlocks (дреды). I like listening to reggae music. But I don’t like the fact that some people put you into categories according to the way you dress or according to the music you listen to. I also study at art school where I can express myself in my paintings.

What kinds of teenagers can you meet in Russia nowadays?
1) I like Daniel’s lifestyle most. He is creative, independent and expresses himself in different ways.

- To express myself, I listen to music, draw and write.
- To develop my own lifestyle, I try to choose my own interests, clothes and hobbies.
- To change the world for the best, I help other people, take part in volunteer work and care about nature.

In my home place, some popular youth subcultures are gamers, hip-hop fans and skaters. Gamers spend a lot of time playing computer games and discussing new releases. Hip-hop fans like rap music, street fashion and dancing. Skaters enjoy skateboarding and an active lifestyle.
There are also youth organisations such as volunteer groups, environmental clubs and school councils. Their aims are to help people, protect nature, organise events and make school life better.
4) I am not a member of any youth group or organisation because I have not found one that suits my interests yet. However, I would like to join a volunteer or environmental group in the future.
5) In Russia nowadays, you can meet many kinds of teenagers: sporty, creative, fashionable, computer-minded, quiet, active and rebellious. Some are interested in music, others in sports, studying, social media or volunteering.
