Pair work. You and your friend are planning a two-week summer holiday. Discuss which camp you would both go to: a camp in the mountainous region in the Caucasus, a camp in the wooded area not far from your hometown or a camp on the Black Sea coast.

Sample dialogue:

A: We need to choose a summer camp for our two-week holiday. Which one do you prefer?

B: I’d like to go to the camp on the Black Sea coast. It sounds the most exciting.

A: Why do you think so?

B: Because we can swim, sunbathe and spend a lot of time outdoors. The weather will probably be warm and sunny.

A: That’s true. But the camp in the mountainous region in the Caucasus also sounds great. The air there is fresh, and the views are beautiful.

B: Yes, but I think it may be too tiring for a holiday. I’d rather relax than go hiking every day.

A: What about the camp in the wooded area not far from our hometown?

B: It’s a good choice too, because it’s close to home and the forest is quiet and peaceful. But I still prefer the sea.

A: I agree. Let’s choose the camp on the Black Sea coast.

B: Great! I think we’ll both enjoy it.
