Study the two photos on pp. 99–100. Be ready to compare and contrast the photographs:
- give a brief description of the photos (action, location);
- say what the pictures have in common;
- say in what way the pictures are different;
- say which free time activity you’d prefer;
- explain why.
I’d like to compare and contrast these two photos.
In the first photo, people are spending their free time outdoors. They seem to be enjoying an active leisure activity in a natural setting. In the second photo, the people are also relaxing in their free time, but they are indoors.
Both pictures show people having a good time and doing something they enjoy. In both cases, the activity is connected with leisure and relaxation.
The main difference is that one photo shows an outdoor activity, while the other shows an indoor one. The first picture looks more active, whereas the second one seems quieter and more comfortable.
I’d prefer the free time activity shown in the first photo, because I like being outdoors and staying active. It helps me relax and gives me more energy.
