WRITING

You’ve got a letter from your British friend (John). He is asking you:

• to describe youth organisations of your school/home place;
• to describe their activities;
• to say if you take part in them.

Write a letter to John (about 100 words).

Dear John,

Thanks for your letter. You asked me about youth organisations in my school and in my home place. At my school there is a volunteer club and a sports club. In my home place there is also a youth centre where teenagers can join different groups.

These organisations help young people do useful things. We clean the streets, help elderly people, take part in charity events and organise sports competitions and concerts.

I take part in the volunteer club at school. I like it because it is interesting and useful.

Write back soon.

Best wishes,
Alex
