WRITING

You’ve got a letter from your foreign friend John. He wants to know:

• Do you often go to the cinema?
• Do you like watching video films?
• What are your favourite films?
• Who are your favourite actors/actresses?
• What was the last film you watched? How did you like it?

Write a letter to John (80-100 words) to answer his questions. Remember to write a letter in the correct way.

Dear John,

Thanks for your letter. I’m glad to answer your questions.

I often go to the cinema, especially at weekends, because I like watching films on a big screen. I also enjoy watching video films at home. My favourite films are comedies and adventure films. My favourite actors are Johnny Depp and Emma Watson. The last film I watched was Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. I liked it very much because it was exciting and interesting.

Write back soon.

Best wishes,
Alex
