V. WRITING

Write a description of the most memorable holiday you have recently celebrated. Write 200—250 words.

Last summer I celebrated my birthday in a very special way, and it was the most memorable holiday I have recently had. My parents decided to organize a small party for me at our country house, and I invited my closest friends and relatives.

In the morning I was very excited, because I knew that something unusual was waiting for me. When I came into the garden, I saw a beautifully decorated table, colourful balloons, flowers and a big cake with candles. My friends had prepared a surprise for me, and I was really touched.

We spent the whole day together. First, we had a delicious lunch outdoors. Then we played different games, listened to music and took a lot of photos. In the evening we sat around the fire, talked, laughed and remembered funny stories from school. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, and everybody was in a great mood.

What made this holiday unforgettable was not only the presents, but also the feeling of love and care from the people around me. I felt happy and lucky to have such wonderful friends and a loving family. I will always remember this day with a smile.
