Подробный ответ

A. On Sunday morning after Jesus’ crucifixion, some women went to his tomb very early. They found that the stone had been rolled away and the tomb was empty. An angel told them that Jesus had risen from the dead. Then they went to tell the disciples.

B. The traditions are connected with Easter. People paint and decorate eggs, and give each other Easter eggs, because the egg is a symbol of new life and Jesus’ resurrection.

C. The two popular sayings are: “The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak” and “You cannot serve God and mammon.”

D.

  • You cannot serve God and mammon. — You cannot love and serve both God and money at the same time.
  • The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. — A person may want to do something good, but cannot always resist temptation or physical weakness.
  • Sow the wind and reap the whirlwind. — If you do bad things, you will get much worse results in return.
  • Spare the rod and spoil the child. — If children are not disciplined, they may grow up badly.
