1) He was born in great poverty and was always a victim of circumstances. Then, by sheer good luck, he met a famous artist who noticed his talent. This meeting affected his life greatly, and soon he painted a real masterpiece.

2) The jewels were beautifully arranged in the shop window. When she saw them, she gave a gasp of admiration. But greed got the better of her, and this caused discord between the two friends. After that, she became a shadow of her former self.
