1. Listen to the music. What do you think happens on Burns Night? Listen, read and check.

On Burns Night, Scottish people celebrate the life of Robert Burns, Scotland’s most famous poet. The evening usually includes a formal or informal supper, a reading of The Selkirk Grace, the arrival of the haggis with bagpipes, a recitation of Burns’ poem To a Haggis, a toast to the haggis, traditional Scottish food, and ends with everyone singing Auld Lang Syne.
