1. Marine litter is rubbish that ends up in the sea or on beaches.
2. It harms wildlife in two ways: animals can eat the litter and get trapped in it. This is dangerous because it can injure or kill them.
3. Litter can harm people by polluting the water and beaches, and by getting into the food chain through seafood.
4. We can help by reducing, reusing and recycling, not throwing rubbish away carelessly, and joining beach clean-ups.
