All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy means that if a person only works and never relaxes or has fun, he becomes boring and tired. There are similar sayings in my language, for example: “Без труда не вытащишь и рыбку из пруда” and “Делу время, потехе час.”

Example: Last year I studied every day for the exams and didn’t rest at all. After a while I felt exhausted and lost interest in everything. Then I understood that work and rest should be balanced.
