In 1.5 minutes be ready to compare and contrast the photographs: • give a brief description of the photos (action, location) • say what the pictures have in common • say in what way the pictures are different • say which of the types of food presented in the pictures you’d prefer • explain why You will speak for not more than 2 minutes (12-15 sentences). Here is a sample answer:

Both photographs show different types of food. In the first picture, there is a plate of healthy food, such as vegetables and fish. In the second picture, we can see fast food, including a burger, fries and a soft drink.

The pictures have something in common: both of them show meals that people can eat for lunch or dinner. They are also both colourful and look appetising in their own way.

However, the pictures are very different. The first meal is fresh and healthy, while the second one is unhealthy and contains a lot of fat and sugar. The first photo shows food that is probably homemade, whereas the second one looks like food from a fast-food restaurant.

I would prefer the food in the first picture because I try to eat healthy food. It is better for our body and gives us more energy. Besides, I like vegetables and fish more than burgers and fries.
