True entertainment is often seen as a way to escape from everyday life. I partly agree with this statement, but I also think that entertainment can do much more than that.
First of all, entertainment helps people relax and forget about stress. After a hard day at school or work, watching a film, listening to music or playing a game can improve our mood. Secondly, it can bring people together. For example, going to the theatre or a concert is a shared experience that creates emotions and memories. Finally, good entertainment can be educational, because books, films and plays often make us think about important life problems.
Some people believe that entertainment is only an escape from reality. They say that people use it to avoid their problems and live in a fantasy world. This opinion is understandable, because some forms of entertainment can be addictive and useless.
However, I do not agree with this view. In my opinion, entertainment is not just a way to run away from real life. It can inspire us, teach us and help us understand the world better.
To sum up, I believe that true entertainment may be an escape from reality, but it is also a valuable part of life.
