Nowadays computers are widely used in schools, and many people believe that they make life easier for both teachers and students. However, some people think that computers can also be a distraction. In my opinion, computers are very useful in the classroom, although they should be used wisely.
To begin with, computers help teachers prepare lessons faster and make them more interesting. They can use presentations, videos and online exercises to explain difficult topics more clearly. In addition, students can find information quickly, practise grammar and vocabulary, and do interactive tasks. This makes learning more effective and enjoyable. Finally, computers save time because teachers can check some assignments online and students can submit their work electronically.
On the other hand, some people say that computers can distract students from studying. It is true that pupils may spend time on games, social networks or other websites instead of doing schoolwork. Also, not all students have enough computer skills, so they may feel confused when using technology.
However, I do not agree that these disadvantages are more important. If teachers control the use of computers and set clear rules, students will stay focused. Moreover, computer skills are necessary in modern life, so school is the best place to develop them.
To sum up, I strongly believe that computers are a great help in schools. They make lessons more interesting, save time and prepare students for the future, while the problem of distraction can be solved by proper supervision.
