Portfolio: Sasha comes home one day and tells his aunt he wants to go and live with his mother in Kharkov. How would he say this? How might Olenka react? In pairs, write a short dialogue, then act it out for the class. Vote for the best dramatisation.

Sasha: Aunt Olenka, I want to go and live with my mother in Kharkov.

Olenka: What? Why do you want to do that?

Sasha: I miss her very much, and I want to be with her.

Olenka: But you have a home here. We care about you.

Sasha: I know, but I think it would be better for me to live with my mother.

Olenka: I understand how you feel, but this is a very serious decision. Let’s talk about it calmly.
