Once hundreds of teenagers kicked the UK’s politicians out of Parliament for the day to have their own debate. It was the first time in history that the debating chamber of the House of Commons was occupied by people who were not Members of Parliament.

Those young people were all members of the UK Youth Parliament which was formed in 2000. This organization wants to make life better for teens and children.

On that day more than 300 MYPs (Members of Youth Parliament) packed into the House of Commons to discuss such important questions as lowering the voting age to 16, jobs for young people, university fees, and some others.
