One disaster I heard about on TV was a powerful earthquake in Turkey and Syria in February 2023. It happened early in the morning and caused huge destruction in several cities. Many buildings collapsed, roads were damaged, and thousands of people lost their homes. Rescue teams worked day and night to find survivors. The consequences were terrible: many people were injured or killed, and a lot of families needed urgent help.
