One of the main advantages of living in a big city is convenient public transport. What is more, there are lots of entertainment facilities, schools and hospitals close at hand, and career prospects are better.

The worst thing about it is the high pollution levels, noise, traffic jams and the stressful pace of life.

One of the main advantages of living in the countryside is picturesque surroundings. What is more, people are usually friendly, and there is peace and quiet, low pollution levels and larger houses.

The worst thing about it is poor transport links, few schools, not enough educational opportunities and no variety of jobs.

I would choose living in a big city because it offers more opportunities, but I can understand why some people prefer the countryside.
