Regional dialects are an important part of a language because they show the history and culture of different areas. I think all speakers should not be forced to use exactly the same form of a language. Standard language is necessary for school, work and official communication, but dialects should also be respected.

In my opinion, dialects should be encouraged, not discouraged. They make speech richer and more interesting, and they help people keep their local identity. At the same time, everyone should be able to understand standard English and use it when needed.
