Animal communication

Dolphins communicate in many different ways. They use sounds, body movements and touch to share information with each other. For example, dolphins make clicks and whistles to find food and to stay in contact with the group. They also jump, splash and move their tails to show emotions or warn others about danger.

Dolphins are very social animals, so communication is important for their life in the sea. They can understand each other well and work together when they hunt or protect their young.
