All these quotations have one thing in common: they are wrong predictions about the future of technology. People who said them could not imagine how quickly computers, the Internet, radio, and telephones would develop and become important in everyday life.

These quotes show that even experts can make serious mistakes when they try to predict the future. New inventions often seem useless at first, but later they can change the world.
