In my region, people have different pastimes, but some of them are especially popular. Many teenagers and adults like spending time outdoors. In summer, they go for walks in parks, ride bicycles, play football or volleyball, and have picnics with friends and family. In winter, some people go skiing or skating, while others prefer staying at home and watching films or reading books.

One of the most common pastimes is using the Internet. Young people often chat with friends, listen to music, watch videos, or play computer games. However, this pastime is not as healthy as outdoor activities, so many parents try to encourage their children to do sports more often.

Some pastimes are not very popular in my region. For example, not many people spend much time on handicrafts or collecting things. These hobbies are usually more common among older people or those who like quiet activities.

My favourite pastimes are reading books and playing badminton. I prefer reading because it helps me relax and learn new things. I also enjoy badminton because it is active, fun, and good for my health. I think the best pastime is the one that gives you pleasure and helps you feel better.
