An average person in a big city usually works longer hours and has a more stressful and intense job. In the countryside, people often work fewer hours and their work is usually less hurried.

Eating habits are also different. City people often eat in cafes, fast food places or buy ready-made food because they are busy. In the countryside, people more often cook at home and eat simpler, fresher food.

As for hobbies and pastimes, city residents have more entertainment options: cinemas, theatres, shopping centres, gyms and clubs. People in little countryside places often spend their free time outdoors, gardening, fishing, walking or visiting friends and neighbours.
