For: Economic integration and globalisation can stimulate a country’s economic development because they open new markets, attract foreign investment and create more jobs. They also help countries get access to modern technologies and improve the quality of goods and services.

Against: At the same time, they can be harmful for weaker economies. Local companies may not survive competition with large international firms, and some industries can become dependent on foreign markets. As a result, a country may lose part of its economic independence.

So, economic integration and globalisation can both help and challenge a country’s development.
