In my opinion, studying foreign languages can really change a person’s life. In today’s world, language skills are not only useful for school, but also for future study, work and communication. That is why many people consider foreign languages an important part of education.

First of all, learning a foreign language gives people more opportunities. It helps them travel more easily, make friends from other countries and understand different cultures. Besides, a good knowledge of English or another foreign language can help a person enter a better university or get a well-paid job. In addition, language learning develops memory, attention and thinking skills.

Some people think that foreign languages are not necessary because modern technology can translate everything. They believe that it is enough to use a translator on a phone or computer. However, I do not agree with this point of view. A machine cannot replace real communication. If you know a language yourself, you can speak more freely, understand people better and feel more confident in any situation.

To sum up, learning a foreign language can influence a person’s life in many positive ways. It opens new doors, broadens horizons and makes the world seem smaller and friendlier.
