Marie Curie is one of the most famous scientists in the history of chemistry and physics. She was born in 1867 in Warsaw, Poland, and later moved to France, where she continued her scientific work. Marie Curie became the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, and she is still the only person who has received Nobel Prizes in two different sciences: Physics and Chemistry.

Marie Curie is best known for her research on radioactivity. Together with her husband Pierre Curie, she discovered two new chemical elements: polonium and radium. This was a major scientific achievement because it helped people understand the structure of matter much better. Her work also made it possible to use radioactive substances in medicine, especially in the treatment of cancer.

Curie worked in very difficult conditions. At that time, women had fewer opportunities in science, but she never gave up. She was hardworking, intelligent, and deeply devoted to research. She spent many years studying radioactive materials, often risking her health.

Marie Curie’s life is an example of courage, persistence, and love for science. Her discoveries changed chemistry and physics forever. Today she is remembered not only as a great scientist, but also as a person who opened the way for many women in science.
