I live in a big city in the central part of Russia. It is not an industrial area, but there are some factories nearby. In the countryside people grow potatoes, vegetables and grain.

The climate in my place is moderately continental: winters are cold and snowy, and summers are warm and sometimes rainy.

The population of my city is about one million people.

There are several big cities near my place, and they influence our life a lot. People often travel there for work, study, shopping and entertainment.

The environment in my area is not perfectly clean, because there is a lot of traffic, but there are also parks and green zones.

I enjoy nature very much. There is a beautiful park near my home. I like it because it is quiet, green and fresh.

People in my area live in apartment blocks, private houses and cottages.

There are some famous historical sites in my region, including old churches and monuments.

There are also museums and theatres in my city. I go there from time to time, usually on weekends or during holidays.

When I meet my friends, we usually go for a walk, talk, visit a café or watch a film together.

People in the city usually work in offices, shops, schools, hospitals and factories. In the country, they often work in agriculture.

I have relatives who live in another region of Russia. I visit them once or twice a year. When I am there, I usually help them, go sightseeing and spend time with my family.
