• say in what way the pictures are different
• say which of the places presented in the pictures you’d prefer to live in
• explain why
You will speak for not more than 2 minutes (12-15 sentences). You have to talk continuously.
Work in groups of 4 and share the results of your pair discussions.

The two pictures show two different places to live in. In the first picture, there is a modern city with tall buildings, wide streets and a lot of traffic. In the second picture, we can see a small rural area with houses, green fields and mountains in the background.

Both places are inhabited by people and have their own advantages. They are also very different in size, population and atmosphere. The city is busy, noisy and crowded, while the countryside is quiet, peaceful and less populated.

I would prefer to live in the countryside. I like fresh air, beautiful nature and a slower pace of life. It is more comfortable and relaxing for me than living in a big noisy city.
