a) Positive and negative aspects of hobbies:

• Collecting things — positive: interesting, educational, helps to learn more; negative: can be expensive, takes a lot of space.
• Playing computer games — positive: entertaining, relaxing, develops reaction; negative: can waste time, may be bad for health.
• Sport — positive: keeps you fit, healthy, and active; negative: may be tiring or dangerous.
• Reading — positive: useful, improves knowledge and imagination; negative: not very active.

b) Sample answers:

1. I like reading and sport because they are useful and healthy hobbies. I dislike hobbies that take too much time and money.
2. People choose strange hobbies because they want to be different, enjoy unusual things, or find something exciting and special for themselves.
