English and Russian pastimes have some similarities and differences.

Similarities:

• People in both countries like spending time with family and friends.
• Many people enjoy watching TV, listening to music, reading, and using the Internet.
• Young people in both countries often go to the cinema, cafes, and parks.

Differences:

• In England, people often enjoy gardening, going to pubs, and watching football.
• In Russia, people often like going to the dacha, fishing, and spending time in the countryside.
• Russian people may prefer more home-based pastimes in winter, while English people often spend time outdoors even in rainy weather.
