Space exploration has gone a very long way since ancient times. At first, people only observed the sky with the naked eye, but now we use artificial satellites, space technologies and modern navigation systems.

Space exploration has a great impact on our everyday life. Thanks to it, we can use GPS and GLONASS for navigation in cars, ships, airplanes and even while hiking. It has also led to medical advances, new materials and better weather forecasting. Many means of communication and entertainment depend on satellites too.

For example, cordless monitoring systems, heart monitors, robotic surgery, artificial limbs, infrared thermometers, scratch-resistant lenses, flat-screen televisions, satellite TV, smoke detectors and water purification systems are all in existence today because of space research.
